DIFFERENCES 2020

So alike - yet so different

What is that that seperates us, what is it that differs us, and what is it that gathers us? Est-ce la langue?

The way we look? Or our gender? That is what DIFFERENCES explores, when seven dancers work around the on going question about heritage, identity and borders.

In the new 2020-version of this performance, that had its first premiere back in 2012, do we see men and women with the same strength, vulnerability and humor. Seven people that don’t share the same mother tongue, but are able to connect through their bodily language.

The Reumert nominated choreographer Stephanie Thomasen works as an interpreter and making the dancers from Czech Republic, France, Denmark, Brazil, Sweden and Great Britain speak the same language.

With the talent of finding differences and similarities, Stephanie Thomasen presents a complete picture of a world in riot and their skin is pulsating with force, love and confrontations.
